Taylor Haglund
LLMSW
My counseling style draws on years of experience both providing and receiving mental health services. Having sat on both sides of the desk, I understand what it feels like to be stuck, overwhelmed, or alone. I’m committed to helping uncover the root cause of distress. I specialize in working with substance use, attachment issues, and complex trauma. Whether you’re struggling to connect with a counselor or starting therapy for the first time, we’ll work together to create a plan that helps you move toward healing and recovery.
Most of my past work experiences have been in community-based crisis intervention and addiction treatment centers, which taught me that the most meaningful thing I could offer was a steady, respectful presence. I learned that showing up consistently and truly listening to the person in front of me could make a greater difference than any treatment plan. When everything else feels uncertain, focusing on the person, the story, and their power became the most human and healing thing I could do. My style is deeply collaborative and client-centered. By building a genuine, compassionate, and nonjudgmental alliance, we can work together to create growth and healing.
To support this process, I utilize an eclectic blend of polyvagal theory, EMDR, and parts work (IFS) into my approach. As a member of the LGBTIA+ community, I care deeply about the unique challenges marginalized groups face and am passionate about supporting individuals dealing with chronic suicidality, anxiety, and trauma.
